Good posture is very important when playing piano. In order to avoid short-term backache and long-term spinal damage you need to be sitting at just the right height.
When you sit up straight with your head and shoulders upright, your elbows hould be slightly higher than the keyboard. Then when you play, don't let your wrists drop lower than your knuckles. Keep them level, with your fingers curved down to the keys. Learn good posture and you will play comfortably for decades.
